Printmaking Book Project-

Our project was to create an A-Z book of prints using traditional methods of printing. I was assigned the the letter ‘F’. I decided to associate my letter with my own practice- Identity, in which I chose to Lithograph a photo of my Tutor (Keitel Berge). I had created the image on Photoshop, merging a Winchester map into his face as I wanted something to reflect Winchester School Of Art and the printmaking team. We each had to print 30 copies, taking me two days to complete on the Lithograph press.

Through these sets of glitches images I haves explored the appearance of Identity through my own portrait/’selfie’, in a distorted way that reflects the manipulation and technological era that we are currently experiencing. The saturated colours reflect the harsh grain we see when a TV or computer breaks or looses signal- reflecting this technological era.

Cornwall Art Project

Cornwall is one of my favourite places – The romantic landscape, parting skies, prevailing winds, shifting light rays blinding bright, to the golden beaches and bobbing harbors, crashing waves and swirling turquoises give me endless inspiration. Having visited places such as Padstow, Rock, St Ives and Bude, I have grown to love these small quaint villages and they have hugely impacted in my work.

Volunteer work at Beach Break Live festival

During a summer I volunteered to work as part of the art decor team at BBL. A weeks work involved creating art installations from found material, sign painting, hanging art and creating work that suited the festival theme. It was such an awarding experience working with so many different students from around the country, to make friends and in the end to see the festival come alive with our work…then to enjoy the bonus of a free festival!
